The goal of BalletFleming is to inspire, engage, entertain and educate the public through the works of its Artistic Director, Christopher Fleming. Established in 2010, the company is guided by this purpose in its performances, teaching, outreach activities and commitment to the community.
In creating works by choreographer and artistic director Christopher Fleming, BalletFleming explores innovative approaches to storytelling, musical theatre and symphonic expositions. By drawing upon the emotional and artistic inspirations of movement, music and drama to bring that to life, we produce dance that is visually striking, innately musical and inherent to the human condition and our deepest of realms of expression.
The BalletFleming company members are a talented group of classically trained ballet dancers from around the country. Company members have danced professionally with companies that include Dayton Ballet, Pennsylvania Ballet, Western Ballet Theatre of Puerto Rico, Universal Ballet of S. Korea and have studied with The Kirov Academy of Ballet (in D.C.), The Rock School, American Ballet Theatre, and The School of American Ballet.
BalletFleming is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
